Bib ASAP. Remember, all Scouts and leaders attending summer camp should have at
least one t-shirt. Also, it's recommended that Scout-related t-shirts be worn
when not in uniform! Download an order form!
Troop Leadership Training
I’d like to schedule a day to conduct Troop Leadership Training over the
summer. This would ideally be on a Saturday, and will take 3-4 hours. Please
let me know your (or if a parent, your son’s) availability for Saturday,
July 12 and July 19 (or vacation plans in general) so that I can schedule for
the maximum attendance. It's essential that our new leaders are trained before
summer camp. Thanks.
Summer Camp 2008
August 10-16 @ Rodney Scout Reservation. I'm still waiting on a couple
MB schedules. Scouts should have made arrangements for physicals if needed;
updated forms are due at the pre-camp meeting on July 31 at 7:00 PM. Scouts
should be working on prerequisites for the badges they'll be working on.

One spot is still available for any eligible Scout or adult; let me know if
interested. $300.00 was due yesterday in order to secure airline tickets. If
you did not turn in your $300 already please mail your check to Mr. Jamie King
ASAP.
NEW Official BSA Centennial Uniform!
In August the new uniform goes on sale. Made of more comfortable materials,
bellowed pockets, new hat and belt designs, better socks, and more
outdoor-friendly accents. Don't worry, though! Existing uniforms will still be
considered official until they're outworn or outgrown. The only changes we'll be implementing at the troop level (effective
9/1) is the use of the forest green shoulder loops and troop numerals. As you
outgrow and/or outwear your existing uniform you'll replace items with the new
uniform components. Regardless of which uniform you wear, Scouts in Troop 70
are to attend all troop meetings and activities in a complete uniform. More
