Troop T-Shirts
Order forms are attached for those who weren't able to get there's in. Remember, all Scouts attending summer camp must have a t-shirt. Long-sleeve and hooded sweatshirts are also available. Give it to me this weekend or mail it to me before the end of June.

Camping: Assateague National Seashore (Beach Camping)
June 13-15. Scouts will camp and enjoy the sun, sand and surf. $15.00 was due on May 29.  Tent camping. Scouts will meet at Silverside Church at 6PM on Friday evening. Please bring your Class B shirts for Saturday's service project. Parents, please discuss skin care with your sons...they are not to come on this trip without sunblock. Long sleeves/pants and sunglasses are also highly recommended to limit exposure. Additionally, mosquitoes are prevalent at Assateague. Be prepared. In addition to the service project and swimming at the beach (feel free to bring your boogie and skim boards), other possible activities include shell collecting, biking (bring yours if you can), surf fishing, shellfishing, canoeing and kayaking (for a rental fee). Scouts and adults can bring money to rent canoes, bikes or clam rakes. Scouts will return to Silverside Church around 1PM on Sunday. Pay attention to the weather forecast and pack appropriately (right now they're calling for the upper '80s and sunny to partly cloudy, with isolated thunderstorms on Sunday). If anyone's able to bring firewood please do so, as there won't be any in the park.

Mr. Caspar, King and Martinez will oversee the departure on Friday night. Troop gear will already be pulled into the foyer to be loaded. We are in the Group Tent Only Area (Reservation #2-1497729). There's a $10.00 entrance fee per vehicle. Check in at the Ranger Station upon arrival. Those I have down as attending are as follows; let me know if I'm missing your name:

Troop Leadership Training
We'll be scheduling youth leader training for a Saturday in mid-July. All newly elected/appointed youth leaders will need to attend. More info to come.

Summer Camp Meeting
Thursday, July 31 @ 7:00 PM. All attendees and their parents should attend. We'll review the programs, individual schedules, collect medical forms, fill out blue cards, and come up with a gear list for the week.

Florida Sea Base 2009
Just a reminder that a spot is available for any eligible Scout or adult. For everyone else, the next payment of $300.00 is due by the end of June in order to secure airline tickets. If you did not turn in your $300 last week please mail your check to Mr. Jamie King within the next two weeks.
