Troop Meeting
Thursday, May 15 @ 7:00 PM. Scouts will continue working on advancement. Older Scouts will begin a service project for the church (bring paint brushes!). Anyone with outstanding MB requirements need to turn them in tonight! We'll also hold nominations for next week's leadership elections.

Troop T-Shirts
Order forms are attached and are due by June 5. Remember, all Scouts attending summer camp must have a t-shirt. Long-sleeve and hooded sweatshirts are also available. Minimum troop order is 30, so be sure to get your form in!

Troop Banquet & Court of Honor
Thursday, June 5 @ 6:00 PM. In our continued efforts to raise funds for a troop trailer, we're forgoing the annual picnic in favor of a spaghetti dinner and silent auction. $5/person, due on May 29, will include pasta dish and dessert. Scouts from each patrol will bring one assigned item: bread, beverages or salad. Additionally, each family is asked to donate a homemade baked good, as well as other resale items, to the silent auction. It's our hope that our troop members and their families' generosity will help us get closer to our goal. In addition to the dinner we'll have our closing Court of Honor ceremony, recognizing all awards and advancement earned since November. Bring the whole family...immediate, extended or honorary...to see what Troop 70's all about.

OA: Summer Fellowship Weekend
June 6-8 @ Rodney Scout Reservation. No inductions, just fun and fellowship. Lodge Officer elections will also take place. OA members may register online.

Camping: Assateague National Seashore (Beach Camping)
June 13-15. Tent camping. Space is limited! Scouts and leaders will enjoy the sun, sand and surf. $15.00 cash and sign-ups due on, and NO LATER than, May 29.

Summer Camp 2008
August 10-16 @ Rodney Scout Reservation.
We now have twenty-six Scouts registered for the week, and only two full-time adults. We are in desperate need of adults who can spend all or part of the week at camp. For complete details click here. Don't forget to schedule a physical exam with your doctor if necessary. Medical forms can be downloaded here. 2nd year and older campers can download the program descriptions and schedule here and should let me know as soon as possible what Merit Badges and activities they want to participate in. Remember, Scouts must fill at least three periods with Merit Badges or scheduled activities.
