Freedom Trail District Adult Court of Honor
Wednesday, March 12 @ 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Ebenezer United Methodist Church. $12.00 per person at the door. Any adult is welcome to attend, just let me know at this week's meeting. We have two troop leaders being recognized. Leaders confirmed as attending are Matt Bib, Bob Coyle, Jamie King and Dennie Mah. EUMC is located at 525 Polly Drummond Hill Road in Newark, DE.

Troop Meeting
Thursday @ 7:00 PM. Younger Scouts will continue to work on rank advancement and should bring their handbooks. Older Scouts will continue work on Citizenship in the Nation or continue to work on their own merit badges or on their Eagle requirements and to plan a spring Life Scout activity. $15.00 cash due for March camping if not yet paid. $100 deposits for Florida Sea Base due if not yet paid. $15.00 due for April camping.

Camping: Brandywine Creek State Park (Patrol Activities & Cooking)

March 14-16. Patrols will camp and conduct their own advancement and interpatrol activities. There will be a patrol Iron Chef competition. Scouts will complete requirements toward Cooking Merit Badge. $15.00 cash due this week if not yet paid. Patrol Leaders and Grub Masters will find their menus and recipes attached; these should be adjusted to serve the total number of Scouts camping from each patrol. Patrols should fill in the blanks (Friday snack, Sunday breakfast, and drinks). Patrols may supplement the menu or change the recipes however they wish, so long as the final dishes are true to the original menu idea. And don't forget the extra items like charcoal, paper towels, matches, etc (check the closet for these as well!).

Movie Meeting
Thursday, March 20. Time and movie title TBD. As Silverside Church has a Maundy Thursday service, we don't have access to Cline Hall. Instead, assuming there's an age-appropriate movie showing at approximately 7:00 PM, we'll meet at Regal Brandywine.

Troop Bowling
Tentatively scheduled for Friday, March 21 @ Pleasant HIll Lanes from 9:00 PM - Midnight. Should be only $15.00 per person for the three hours. Sign up this week, as this activity is dependent upon actual sign-ups.

Camping: Tuckaho Scout Reservation (Gettysburg)
April 4-6. Tent camping. Saturday will be spent day hiking the historic trails of Gettysburg. $15.00 and sign-ups due on March 13. Scouts signing up to for the Electric Map ($3.00) and/or the Eisenhower Farm ($6.50) will need to bring cash on the trip to cover those fees. Adults are needed to camp so that we'll be able to transport Scouts from Tuckaho to Gettysburg.

OA Spring Inductions Weekend
April 11-13 @ Henson Scout Reservation.
All current OA members should register to attend, especially if you're an Ordeal member eligible for Brotherhood. Register online today! All newly elected candidates will receive their registration packets in the mail and should NOT register online. Bryan Bailey will be following up with our OA members.

Summer Camp 2008
August 10-16 @ Rodney Scout Reservation.
Additional adults, leaders OR parents, are needed to attend during our week at camp. We now have 24 Scouts registered and the 2.5 adults signed up thus far are not sufficient. Parents and leaders should let me know if they're available for part or all of the week. Any Scout who didn't register but would still like to sign-up may do so...just let me know as soon as possible! $265.00 balances are due on April 24. Camperships are available to Scouts with financial need; applications are due by April 1.
