Troop Meeting
Thursday @ 7:00 PM. Younger Scouts will continue to work on rank advancement and should bring their handbooks. Older Scouts will continue work on Citizenship in the Nation or continue to work on their own merit badges or on their Eagle requirements and to plan a spring Life Scout activity. $15.00 cash due for March camping, for which we'll also begin planning. $25.00 deposits due for summer camp if not yet paid. $100 deposits for Florida Sea Base due if not yet paid.We also need commitments for the Council Jamboree scheduled for May 2-4 at Killens Pond State Park ($30/Scout or $20/Adult will be due in April).


OA Elections
Elections for new Ordeal candidates for the Order of the Arrow will be held during this week's troop meeting. We need full troop turnout! All OA members should wear their sashes.

Scout Ski Day
Sunday, March 2, 2008 @ Jack Frost. Scouts and family members will spend the day skiing and snowboarding the slopes at Jack Frost. $30.00 includes lift, ski/snowboard rental and lesson. Tubing is available this year at $20/3-hour session or $35 for the day. Sign-up on this week with Mr. Mason. Make checks payable to BSA Troop #70.


March Camping: Patrol Activities & Cooking
March 14-16 @ Brandywine Creek State Park.
Patrols will camp and conduct their own advancement and interpatrol activities. There will be a patrol Iron Chef competition. Scouts will complete requirements toward Cooking Merit Badge. $15.00 cash due at the Feb. 28 troop meeting.

OA Spring Inductions Weekend
April 11-13 @ Henson Scout Reservation.
All current OA members should register to attend, especially if you're an Ordeal member eligible for Brotherhood. Register online today!

May Camping: Council Jamboree
May 2-4 @ Killens Pond State Park. Don't miss the event of a lifetime. This will likely be the largest Scout campout that you will EVER get to attend! The Footprints Through Time Council Jamboree will bring together Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Explorers and Venturers from all over the Del-Mar-Va Peninsula for a weekend campout of super FUN! Events planned include a Merit Badge Midway, canoeing and kayaking on Killens Pond, Sling Shots, Archery, an Iron Chef Competition, Firebuilding Competition, District Gateway Competition, Cubmobile and Tiger 500 races, a 5K Run, Fishing Derby and more!! Saturday's fun-filled activities will be topped of with a show stopper arena show including a live band performance and grand finale aerial display. Sign up at this week's troop meeting, but pay ($30/Scout or $20/adult) in April!

Summer Camp 2008
August 10-16 @ Rodney Scout Reservation.
We now have 24 Scouts registered! Those who haven't paid their deposits should bring their $25.00 to this week's meeting. Anyone who didn't register who would like to sign-up may still do so...just let me know as soon as possible! $265.00 balances are due on April 24. Camperships are available to Scouts with financial need; applications are due by April 1.

Florida Sea Base 2009
As announced previously we received our first choice: three (3) Coral Reef Sailing crews! Our trip dates will be June 14 - 22, 2009. Confirmed attendees must pay their $100.00 non-refundable deposit by June 28. For complete details click here.
