Scouting for Food
Thanks to everyone, Scouts and adults, who helped with Saturday's food collection. It was a great success. We collected 25 boxes of non-perishable food items for a very appreciative Jewish Family Services of Delaware. Great job!

Freedom Trail District Roundtable & Chapter Meeting
Wednesday, February 13 @ Limestone Presbyterian Church.
All unit leaders are encouraged to attend monthly Roundtable. All OA members are encouraged to attend the Chapter Meeting.

Troop Meeting
Thursday @ 7:00 PM. Younger Scouts will continue to work on rank advancement and should bring their handbooks. Older Scouts will continue to work on their merit badges or on their Eagle requirements and to plan a spring Life Scout activity. We'll also prepare for this weekend's pancake breakfast; Scouts should know their availability on Saturday. $25.00 deposits due for summer camp if not yet paid. $20.00 due for February camping if not yet paid.

Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, February 16 @ Silverside Church. We have less than a week to go, so SELL THOSE TICKETS! The goal is 15 or more tickets sold per Scout. All proceeds will go towards the troop's trailer fund. All Scouts are expected to sell and to participate this Saturday. All troop members should be supporting our efforts! Scouts will sign-up for shifts to be worked at this week's troop meeting.


Service Opportunity: AAUW Book Sale
Wednesday, February 20 @ 9:30 PM. Scouts should meet at the rear entrance of the Concord Mall to help cart in books for the annual sale. Sign up this week.

Camping: Survivor 2009
February 22-24 @ Camp Ware.
Scouts will compete as patrols and individuals for the title of "survivor". All competitions are based on rank knowledge, general Scouting knowledge, or troop trivia. Start reviewing your Handbooks, the troop website, etc. $20.00/Scout ($15.00/adults) due THIS WEEK.

Scout Ski Day
Sunday, March 2, 2008 @ Jack Frost Ski Area. Scouts and family members will spend the day skiing and snowboarding the slopes at Jack Frost. $30.00 includes lift ticket, ski/snowboard rental and lesson. Tubing is available again this year at $20.00 for a 3-hour session or $35 for the day. Sign-up on February 21 with Mr. Mason. Make checks payable to BSA Troop #70.

Summer Camp 2008
August 10-16 @ Rodney Scout Reservation.
We now have 23 Scouts registered! Those who haven't paid their deposits should bring their $25.00 to this week's meeting. Anyone who didn't register who would like to sign-up may still do so...just let me know as soon as possible! $265.00 balances are due on April 24. Camperships are available to Scouts with financial need; applications are due before April 1.
