PLC
Thursday, February 7 @ 6:00 PM.
All youth leaders are expected to attend. In addition to SPL, Patrol Leaders and their Assistants, we also need the Scribe, Quartermasters, Librarian, Historian and other junior leaders to attend to perform their responsibilities.

Troop Meeting
Thursday, February 7 @ 7:00 PM. Younger Scouts will continue to work on rank advancement and should bring their handbooks. Older Scouts will continue to work on their merit badges or on their Eagle requirements and to plan a spring Life Scout activity. Those taking Personal Management merit badge need to bring in their homework. We'll also prepare for Scouting for Food. $25.00 deposits due for summer camp if not yet paid. $20.00 due for February camping.

Scouting for Food
Saturday, February 9.
Scouts have signed up for hour-long shifts to sit at Super-G and solicit donations of non-perishable food items to be donated to Jewish Family Services in support of Scouting's national food collection service. However, we also need parents to supervise, also in shifts, throughout the day. Any parent willing to contribute an hour of their time may sign up at this week's troop meeting; this is a great opportunity for those parents who do not participate at troop meetings or camping activities.

Below are the shifts which I have Scouts and adults signed up to cover so far. I need to know ASAP if there are any conflicts. I also need to know when the rest of our troop members can serve, and what adults can supervise during the remaining shifts. In addition to soliciting donations, Scouts will also have the opportunity to sell pancake tickets. We'll give out instructions at this week's troop meeting. And remember, this is a full-uniform event.

Freedom Trail Chapter Bowling Activity
Saturday, February 9 from 9PM until Midnight at Pleasant Hill Bowling Lanes.
All Scouts, family and friends are welcome. $15 covers three hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, soda and snacks. Reserve your space by calling or emailing Wes Wolf (302-834-7619 / wwolf@snip.net) or Mark Gawel (302-453-0820 / the_gawels@netzero.net).

Freedom Trail District Roundtable & Chapter Meeting
Wednesday, February 13 @ Limestone Presbyterian Church.
All unit leaders are encouraged to attend monthly Roundtable. All OA members are encouraged to attend the Chapter Meeting.

Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, February 16 @ Silverside Church. With less than two weeks to go, Scouts should be aggressively selling tickets. Remember, the goal is 15 or more tickets sold per Scout. That's less than two tickets per day that you need to sell! Remember, all proceeds will go towards the troop's trailer fund in support of our camping program. All Scouts are expected to participate in this, the only fundraiser that directly benefits the troop. Parents, please encourage your sons' participation. All troop members should be supporting our efforts! Scouts will sign-up for shifts to be worked at next week's troop meeting.

Camping: Survivor 2009
February 22-24 @ Camp Ware.
Scouts will compete as patrols and individuals for the title of "survivor". All competitions are based on rank knowledge, general Scouting knowledge, or troop trivia. Start reviewing your Handbooks, the troop website, etc. $20.00/Scout ($15.00/adults) due THIS WEEK.

Summer Camp 2008
August 10-16 @ Rodney Scout Reservation.
We now have 23 Scouts registered! Those who haven't paid their deposits should bring their $25.00 to this week's meeting. Anyone who didn't register who would like to sign-up may still do so...just let me know as soon as possible! $265.00 balances are due on April 24. Camperships are available to Scouts with financial need; applications are due before April 1.
