Annual Planning Conference
September 3, 2009 @ 6:00 PM at Romeo's in Branmar
Troop leadership set goals and laid out plans for the new Scouting year and had the PLC for September. Those in attendance were

Camping: Brandywine Creek State Park
September 25-27, 2009
Scouts hiked into camp and camped in tents in the primitive youth group area. Saturday was spent working on advancement and having

Nentego Lodge 20 Fall Inductions Weekend
October 23-25, 2009 @ Rodney Scout Reservation
Ordeal candidates complete their inductions; Brotherhood candidates ll completed their conversion. All enjoyed fellowship and performed

Martinez and Pepe Martinez. Congratulations to Matt, Joaquin and Zack on completing their Brotherhood conversion.

ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE MERIT BADGE
Saturday, November 7 @ The Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. $15.00 per Scout (includes museum admission). Under the
direction of a Merit Badge Counselor, Scouts will be guided through a series of experiments and hands-on activities. This intensive
workshop will provide Scouts with the majority of the requirements for completion of this required badge for Eagle Scout. Some activities
will need to be completed at home and submitted to the merit badge counselor before or after the workshop for approval. Download the

OA Service PRoject
Saturday, November 7 at the Brandywine Zoo, 8:15 AM - Zoo. All Scouts may participate. Please wear an OA or troop activity shirt. Sign-

Troop members and their families will participate in Silverside Church's morning service at 10AM. Scouts will serve as readers, ushers and

Freedom Trail Chapter is holding it's annual bowling night at Pleasant Hill Lanes in Newport, from 9:00 PM - Midnight. $15.00 covers three

Scouts will sleep in Brown Lodge and compete inter patrol and individual events to detrmine this year's "Survivor". The winner will receive

Scouting for Food
March 13, 2010 @ Super G
Scouts will collect boxes full of canned and other non-perishable goods in front of Super G on Concord PIke. Scouts will work in pairs for
two hour shifts from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. Collected goods will be given to Jewish Family Services. Sign-up on February 4. Scouting for
Food has been rescheduled due to inclement weather.

Camping: Broad Creek Scout Reservation (Wilderness Survival)
March 19-21, 2010
Scouts will build and sleep in shelter and complete other requirements toward Wilderness Survival Merit Badge. $15.00 due March 4.

Mammal Study Merit Badge

Under the direction of the Academy of Natural Sciences Merit Badge Counselors, Scouts will complete all the requirements for the
Mammal Study Merit Badge. This intensive workshop guides scouts through mammalian classification, a project to help mammals in their
neighborhood, and an investigation of the history and purpose of our museum’s extensive mammal collection. Download the

Reptile & Amphibian Study Merit Badge

Under the direction of the Academy of Natural Sciences Merit Badge Counselors, Scouts will work towards their Reptile and Amphibian
Study Merit Badge. Through interactions with live animals, museum specimens and interactive games, scouts will learn the differences
between reptiles and amphibians, learn identifying field marks, and even investigate how they move.  Download the

Troop Bowling Night
Thursday, April 1 @ 7:00 PM at First State Lanes in Bellefont. Since Cline Hall isn't available to us due to the religious holiday we'll bowl a
few games instead! $10.00 includes 2 games and shoe rental. Scouts and families are invited to stay and bowl more, however troop
leadership will only be at the lanes until 8:30 PM. Scouts must let their patrol leaders know if they're going by Tuesday, March 30. Patrol

Christina River Watershed Cleanup
Saturday, April 10 from 8:00 AM - Noon. Earn service hours and make a difference by doing yoru part for the river. Meet at the east end
of F&N Shopping Center (near Sweeney's bakery). It is recommended that volunteers wear brightly-colored clothing, long sleeves and
pants, boots or water resistant shoes, hats, and bring heavy duty gloves, insect repellent, and sunscreen. Visit

Adventure Base 100
July 17, 2010
This Saturday, July 17, Scouts will travel to Baltimore for the day and visit Adventure Base 100 at Rash Field. I need a final count by
TOMORROW to ensure we have sufficient adult participants/drivers. Siblings are welcome so long as a parent is in attendance. Please e-
mail me by tomorrow to let me know how many are coming, and if there's a driver in your group. Plan to meet at Silverside Church in your
"Class A" uniform on Saturday at 9:15 AM. Bring your "Class B" shirt with you, or wear under your uniform. Participants will need to bring
