The Eagle Application (.PDF)
The Eagle Scout Application must be completed after finishing an Eagle project and after earning all applicable merit badges and prior badges of rank.

With your troop leaders, complete the top portion of the aplication.

List the date of your Life Rank board of review in Requirement 1.

In Requirement 2 list names and contact informaton for personal references.  From each of these persons obtain letters of reference to be included with your Eagle Application.  Additionally, ask your Scoutmaster to also write a letter of impression.

With your troop leaders, complete the merit badge information in Requriement 3.

In Requirement 4 list your two most recent leadership responsibilities served since your Life Rank board of review.  These two positions must comprise a period of at least six months.

Enter the date on which you completed your Eagle Project in Requirement 5.

Requirement 6 of the Eagle Application requires the attachment of "a statement of your ambitions and life purpose and a listing of positions held in your religious institution, school, camp, community, or other organizations during which you demonstrated leadership skills.  Include honors and awards received during this service."  This should be neatly typed on a page to be included with the application.

Next, schedule a Scoutmaster Conference, at which, if your Scoutmaster approves, both of you will sign the Eagle Application.

Next, schedule a troop Board of Review with your Troop Committee.  The Committee will test and prepare you for the actual District/Council Board of Review.  If the Committee approves, the Troop Committee Chairperson will sign the Eagle Application.

The Eagle Board of Review
Once you have finished your project and all requirements, and your Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook and Eagle Application have been approved by your project liason, Scoutmaster, and Troop Committee, your paperwork will be turned in to your local Council.  After reviewing all membership and advancement dates, an Eagle Scout Board of Review will be scheduled, generally within the next month or two.  Scouts must attend in Class A uniform.  Scouts should bring their Scoutmaster or other leader to the board with them.  Once the Eagle Scout Board approves the application it is turned over to the local Scout Executive for approval, and ultimately submitted to the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America for final review and approval.  Once the local council receives the Eagle credentials from National, the troop is notified.  The troop retrieves the approved application and project workbook and awards and then works with the new Eagle Scout to schedule an Eagle Court of Honor.
