Troop Banquet & Court of Honor
Thursday, June 5 @ 6:00 PM. In our continued efforts to raise funds for a troop trailer, we're forgoing the annual picnic in favor of a more formal spaghetti dinner and silent auction. $5/person, due on May 29, will include pasta dish and dessert. Scouts from each patrol will bring an assigned item: bread, beverages or salad. Additionally, each family is asked to donate a homemade baked good, as well as any other resale items, to the silent auction. It's our hope that our troop members and their families generosity will help us get closer to our goals. In addition to the dinner we'll have our closing Court of Honor ceremony, recognizing all awards and advancement earned since November.

4,000-some Scouts and Scouters from across Del-Mar-Va Council gathered at Killens Pond State Park for the "Footprints through Time" themed Jamboree. Those in attendance were: Matt Andreas (1 night), Billy Biddle, Thomas Camper, Morgan Crowder, Chris Gosling, Ron Hanima, Mike Krueger, Ernie Lowden, Joaquin Martinez, Martin Martinez, Andrew Mason, Ed Mason (1 night), Matt Morris (1 night), Nikhil Rao, Matt Bib, Jamie King, Ernie Lowden and Pepe Martinez. Those OA members completeing their Brotherhood conversion were: Chris Gosling, Jamie King and Nikhil Rao.

Nentego Lodge 20 Spring Ordeal Weekend
April 11-13, 2008
OA members gathered at Henson Scout Reservation to complete their Ordeal or Brotherhood conversions, or simply to camp and help out in cheerful service. Those completeing their Ordeal were Shane Chanpimol and Ben Litwin, and Bryan Bailey completed his Brotherhood conversion.

Scouts camped in tents at Camp Tuckahoe and spend Saturday hiking the 9-mile Billy Yank trail at nearby Gettysburg National Military Park. Scouts and family members will spend the day skiing and snowboarding the slopes at Jack Frost. $30.00 includes lift, ski/snowboard rental and lesson. Tubing is available this year at $20/3-hour session or $35 for the day. Sign-up on February 21 with Mr. Mason. Make checks payable to BSA Troop #70.
